A lovely night to be out orienteering, the light green course was a very enjoyable challenge set by Robert. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, hope to see you all at the next East of Scotland local event - Saturday 31st May at Gullane Dunes (NT479831), starts from 2-3pm, organised by East Lothian Orienteers.

A good cause, a new map, an intriguingly-worded choice of courses planned by Clive Masson and a fine sunny evening combined to make this a most successful and interesting event which raised over £400 to support the rehabilitation of soldiers from Dreghorn Barracks injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.Results

Planning orienteering courses the North Pentland Hills, was always going to bring with it certain points of inherent inevitability.
Firstly, with a high proportion of the more interesting and more technically challenging areas of the map tending to be steep, posing problems with keeping climb within the recommended levels.
